TEMA stands down operations center

Response activities related to the winter storm are entering the recovery phase. TEMA will continue to coordinate with and provide assistance to state agencies and local government.

Road conditions are still hazardous; TDOT and THP continue to urge motorists to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

Effective at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, the State Emergency Operations Center in Nashville and TEMA’s regional coordination centers in Jackson and Knoxville reduced activity to regular staffing levels. The SEOC activation level has been reduced to Level 4, while maintaining the state of emergency declaration.

Once there is a declared state of emergency. This declaration is in effect until the situation causing the emergency is concluded or 60 days from the initial has expired, unless renewed in writing by the Governor.
