ABOUT THE TEMA WEBSITE

This site is maintained and operated by the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) from its headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee. This site is designed to be a tool to disseminate preparedness and response information to the general public and the media via the Internet. This page provides information about those who make it happen, as well as information about updates and changes to the structure and content of the site.  The site is designed for JAVA-enabled browsers capable of supporting frames at an 800x600 resolution.  The majority of the initial pages in all of the sections in the site are primarily text-based to allow for easier loading on slower connections.

This site and all information contained on it are property of the State of Tennessee. Any misuse of the system, its components, contents, or any other mechanism used to operate the system may result in revocation of access privileges, and may result in criminal prosecution of the offender(s).

Although links may be provided to commercial site or other government and non-governmental web sites, TEMA does not explicitly endorse any Internet web site or its contents, and cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information contained therein. All information on the TEMA web site is believed to be accurate at the time it was published, but due to factors beyond the agency’s control, information may have to be withdrawn or updated as more details about certain events becomes known. 

As a general rule, links to commercial web sites are prohibited unless the agency has an ongoing contractual relationship with the vendor or the vendor is sponsoring or participating in an event in which TEMA is a participant.
